Rain/weather Policies & Rain Waiver Information In relation to inflatable units for private parties - see below for tents & corporate

On a date when we determine that there is a high probability of foul weather, rain or high winds we reserve the right to cancel.  It is for safety of riders and serviceability of our units not because we want to ruin anyone’s party.  If it is clear when we set up and it rains later there isn’t anything that can prevent that  but we may begin to pick up units if the rain is not going to pass.  Keep in mind if the weather forecast is very grim there is a chance that cancellations will occur in the morning.

The final decision on what constitutes a rain date lies with us. On any day we will always try to service as many bounces as possible even if it means rearranging a bit of the deliveries or the times of peoples events.  We don’t want to ruin anyone’s party but we also want to keep our equipment from potential damage (not to mention the kids).  We watch the weather fo you but be advised if it is 50% of higher then cancellations will occur.

Many people ask about light rain or state that they don’t care if it’s raining they want their unit anyway.  However we will not set up in rain or high winds of any kind. As a general rule skies must be clear for one hour prior to a set up on what may be a rain day.  While you may not mind the rain it is dangerous to ride in a rainy situation. If a light rain occurs after set up it will most likely be deflected by the unit’s roof and the unit will usually dry itself in short order. In this situation be mindful of the inside and wipe it with a towel if it is slick.  If a heavy rain occurs we will begin to pick up units accordingly and it isn’t safe to continue to ride especially if high winds are in play.

The Bullet Points

  • Units CAN NOT operate in heavy rain or high winds It is dangerous. That’s 40% or higher chance of rain and winds over 15 mph.  We reserve the right to deliver or not deliver at our discretion based on the weather conditions and wind.
  • If it is raining when we arrive at a location we will not set up even if our crew is early and we can not guarantee they can wait for the weather to pass.  Wait time is billed @ $35.00 per hour per person.
  • You must call by 8:00 am to cancel your reservation. We will attempt delivery unless told otherwise if we think it is deliverable weather.
  • If you do not call us and we think you are deliverable we will arrive as scheduled.
  • If weather conditions are not permitting when we arrive then you will be responsible for the payment if you have not called to cancel.  Please keep in mind we drive from all over to deliver so while it may look clear on our side  – you actually live there and are the best person to advise us of adverse conditions.
  • Reservations canceled for rain are ONLY accepted if it is raining or extremely high winds.

If it is a potentially rainy day (and we tell you it is) and you want your reservation you will be responsible for cleaning fees if it does rain.  See rainy day sign off  sheet

Rain Waiver information –

We offer a rain/inclimate weather waiver for 10% of your rental cost.  You can add this at the time of your reservation or up to 2 weeks prior to your event.  The rain waiver must be included with your deposit.  This is valid on private parties an smaller events. You can not add the rain waiver under 14 days EXCEPT at time of reservation.  We will not take a rain waiver at time of reservation under 7 days prior.  It is not offered at that time.

How it works: at the time of booking you can purchase a waiver that allows (in the event of rain)  you to receive your deposit back.  Your cost is then only the 10% fee.  It will also allow you to reapply your deposit towards another date without additional fees.  The rain waiver is applicable to private parties only. Corporate events please contact your salesperson to determine your options. On larger events we have event insurance that will cover your event if needed.

Without the rain waiver if the weather is foul and we are unable to set up when we arrive you will lose your deposit in full.

Keep reading though… you still have options!

With our company there are other rain options. On the day of for the same day you can apply your deposit to another form of entertainment like a character or a party host.  Or you can apply your deposit to or another piece of rental equipment like a popcorn machine or the indoor bounce.  There are no additional fees for you to do this.

We find it best to explain the necessity of the rain waiver in these simple terms.  If you would not use your money towards another item or entertainer on the same day and your only interest is a bounce or inflatable – take the rain waiver. If you are having your party anyway and would like something for the kids to do no matter what – then we will do our best to assist you in re-arranging things to accommodate your party.

Worst case scenario!

I didn’t get a rain waiver – I didn’t want to do something different that day… what happens with my deposi?  To be fair it’s technically lost BUT we still have one more option for you if you are going to re-schedule within 1 year we will re-apply your deposit for the $35.00 rescheduling fee.  You can always use it on something different through the year as well.  So, it’s more than the rain waiver but for our gamblers out there it’s still a way to come out ahead.

IN short – i you would never have another party you could use the funds on or would do nothing other than that bounce that day – then get the rain waiver.  If you have kids and would do it another time or on something else we offer – then your worst case scenario is a 35,00 fee.  So 10% up front lest you get your deposit back or 35.00 later.

As a reminder you can move or reschedule any time up to 14 days prior with no penalties. After 14 days and up to 7 days prior you can reschedule to a different date for a $35.00 fee. Under seven days prior you forfeit your deposit. But only for inflatables.

For events where there is to be more than 50 people that are open to the public you are considered a larger party or public event.  In order to utilize the rain waiver we must purchase event insurance vs. just “re-arranging” our schedule to send another item out.  However, If you choose the option of having something different the same day we will re-apply your deposit towards what your “back up” is.  We will also allow you to get a rain waiver to cover the cost o re-scheduling to a different day if you have a rain date.  An example of this is a subdivision party that will have the same party the following week.  You rain waiver will then in effect hold two dates on our calnder.  However, it is not refundable and many times if it isn’t a Saturday we can reschedule the same or similar equipment for the basic $35.00 fee.  If it is two prime Saturdays though we would encourage you to cnsider the rain waivr as an option so you do not lose your equipment.

If you are a festival or corporate outing we suggest rain insurance or event insurance which can be purchased through our vendors and will generally cover losses in other categories as well such as food, location fees etc.  Please consult with a representative about your options.

Tents and rain … wow now that is a can of worms.  It’s really not rain it is wind that has a unpleasant effect on tents.  However since tents go up the day before (or Fridays mostly) and come down the day after ( generally Mondays) there is almost no accurate prediction on tents.  With weather condition that are potentially dangerous or miserable you don’t want to be under a tent anyway.   What happens most often is we do our best to push the set ups before a light rain or after a potential storm.  See FAQ’s about tents for more information.  We do recommend a damage waiver with potential foul weather so you will not be help accountable for damages.

AV Rentals

We require you keep your Av rentals under a tent or covered area.  There is no damage waiver for electronic equipment.  If you do not have shelter for your AV or electronic equipment please advise us so we can help you.
